Really what a nice surprise! And since it is to DSW and not Target there is no chance that I won't be spending this gift card on ME. Happy dance, happy dance!

Tuesday's Top Ten

The Top Ten Things about This Tuesday

10. Buying gas in the rain with .30 cents off/ gallon. Fill 'er up baby!

9. Sewing club girls rockin' out and making their quilts.

8. Waking up a bit late but managing to pull it all together and get out of the house on time.

7. A fourth period class that made my cheeks hurt by laughing and they managed to get some work done too.

6. Cool personalized place mats as a surprise during lunch.

5. Day 1 of the school wide walking challenge is underway. Go Team D :)

4. Yummy leftovers for lunch. I made 15 bean soup in the crock pot and it was delish. I felt all thrifty using up all of the baked ham.

3. My little paparazzi taking pics- he is on a roll. Yes, birthday presents are great for shaking things up in the house.

2. Winning a Japanese pattern book. Feeling quite lucky this week. You may want to rub my belly or something ;)

1. Seeing a double rainbow after picking up N from school. He was so cute telling me that we were following the rainbow and it is trying to hide behind the clouds. I would clone him but that is generally frowned upon.

What was great about your Tuesday?

Immensely Thankful

There are so many things that I have to be grateful for- health, family and great friends. My Thanksgiving holiday was spent taking things slow and easy. I filled each moment with great times and lots of love. One highlight was enjoying my son's birthday: he made out like a bandit. Really! People were too generous. He loved opening gifts and eating cake. He loves saying he's three and trying to get his little fingers to make 3. Still have some work to do on that one. I got to sew a bit and I am working on carving me out a little designated sewing place in my bedroom. All in all, I feel so immensely thankful for this little life of mine :)

Oh and as icing on the top I won a free quilt pattern from Lella Boutique....go me!

Swagbucks

Are great! I love 'em. I got 30 bucks in my amazon account for doing nada. So this great little boy is going to get a special delivery at his Grammy and Papa's house. He is going to be super excited.

But that is all, I am back to my papers :P

What a difference 3 minutes makes!

The Miami Heat are Championship bound!! Chicago is is a wrap! Next up, Dallas Mavs. I will say that these 8:30 games are killing me. I get to bed way too late! Oh and the fact that the Heat was behind by 10/12 points for most of the game and made the last 2 mins a true nail biter really doesn't help me wind down much. It will be at least an hour before I will be in snooze land.

FYI, I am rocking my Heat jersey as I type :0 It brings them luck!

I Freely Admit

I am a giveaway entering fiend. I mean really a fiend. I love the possibility of winning. I love it, I do. I mean I am constantly discovering really cool blogs and peeking into the lives of some neat-o folks and then they want to give me something just for hanging out and saying I follow. Count me in! I am pretty lucky too. (I don't believe in jinxing myself so I am going to brag a bit). So last week I won this really cool bamboo pizza serving platter and a pizza coupon and this week I won a wonderful knitting book. To be more specific it is a book with knitting projects for babies. N is 2 1/2 and I doubt he will let me put him in a knitted cocoon. Oh and there is that little issue that I can't knit. I mean I am open to learning, it has to go better than my crocheting attempts. At any rate, I am a winner. And yes I can't seem to get the Charlie Sheen chatter out of my head now...WINNING!

1. I won something, I won something. All it took was well nothing really and I won. Go me!

2. Dinner was easy and N said, "I like this Mommy" when he sat down. Great, great, great!

3. My creative pursuits are continuing..hello easy peasy zipper sewer.

4. I have discovered a few new blogs that really speak to me.

5. I have gas in my tank, food in my fridge and a few bucks in my wallet. Wonderful indeed.

6. Spring Break is almost here. Yippee!

7. Laughing at Lagy Gaga's fall w/ D. I know it is wrong but I couldn't help myself. The replays, the reenactments just hilarious.

8. A happy boy. N is such a bundle of happiness and I love it.

10. Next week I can pretend that I am a stay at home mom. It will be blissful.

Great blog title and definite morale booster!! I love winning things on blogs. It feels like such a little nothing act...commenting on stuff I like and learning about cool sites on the interwebz. Way easy. So I won a cool bundle of fabric from a blog I enjoy ...the luckiest. You guys know how I feel about luck, but anyway I won, I won, I won.
